Here at Bar Americano we have a full service bar featuring a delicious spread of amaro, unique liquors, and much more Italian goodness. Join us for a specialty cocktail, one of your favorite classics, and/or (we won’t judge) a glass of vino. Whether it be blustery with just a little dappled sunlight, or full on spring that feels like summer, our outdoor patio open, and waiting for you.
Did You Catch It?
King 5 Evening paid us a lovely visit.
Have a watch, and come in for an espresso and amaro.
On Draft

What if we told you we had the most delightful drink available, straight from the tap? And no, it’s not beer. Although that’s a good choice. And yes, an option here at Bar Americano.
Nope, not Fernet either, which we do also indeed have on draft.
It’s an Espresso Martini, folks. On draft? Yes, on tap. One in the same. With a float of soft whipped cream, you’ll never look at coffee the same way again.
Join us, won’t you?
A Foodie Day in Edmonds
Ever wondered what to eat on a foodie day trip to Edmonds?
The Seattle Times included Bar Americano on their recent jaunt up north, and we are so humbled.

The Bar Americano bit:

As written by Jackie Verriano, Seattle Times food writer:
One of my favorite spots to grab a drink in Edmonds is Daphnes — an adorable space where you occasionally must fight for a seat. Luckily, Bar Americano and its adjoining espresso bar, Il Viale, are operated by the Daphnes team. Next to the 10-seat Daphnes, moody, black-walled Bar Americano seems almost comically huge, especially when adding in the expansive front patio.

You can get a bowl of Castelvetrano olives ($6) and a few other nibbles here. Cocktails — like the bourbon-forward Let’s Stay Together — range from $13 to $15 and there are a few beers on tap. In addition to a ring of seats at the bar, there are tables and cozy couches in front, but the very best part of this bar are the two armchairs tucked in back, situated in front of a gas fireplace. There’s a small table between them for your drinks, and despite there being another small table nearby, this spot feels like the perfect place to gossip with a good friend or spend a few minutes with your partner.
A big thanks to the Times for stopping by. We hope to serve you again soon.
See You Soon
Here at Bar Americano, we want you to have the full experience. That includes basking under red light, sipping a craft cocktail, soaking in the camaraderie of your friends and neighbors. And, as one customer put it, be delighted by a “sidewalk movie”. Our covered patio provides warmth and shelter from the elements, yes, but also a primo vibe, rounded out by projections of classic black and white films.
Feeling a combination of nostalgic and sexy? Bar Americano in downtown Edmonds just happens to have all the ingredients to scratch that itch.
Won’t You…

Join us for a delicious mid-week cocktail?
Tangy, bright, sophisticated, vibrant. Those moments of hope in the renewal of all things. Can a drink really make one feel all those things? Come by and let us show you.
But really, we all need something to look forward to this time of year. Why not let it be a drink at Bar Americano? Visit downtown Edmonds between 4 and midnight(ish) and we’ll bring that big spring energy.
Cheers to Bar Americano

We are humbled to be included in Seattle Times’ food writer Tan Vinh’s article highlighting 6 new bars open around Greater Seattle.
Vinh writes:
Brian Taylor, the owner behind the tiny downtown Edmonds haunt Daphnes, returns with another cocktail bar just five blocks away. Inspired by amaro bars around Rome, Taylor opened this 30-seat den with fernet on draft, though the usual tequila, vodka and whiskey cocktails are also featured for those who can’t take that bittersweet liqueur. Bar Americano shares a 50-seat patio with Il Viale Espresso Bar down the hallway.

Fammi da bere.
Scene: Make me a drink.
Setting: Sophisticated etched glass. Icy cocktail shaker. Sexy bar curve.
Smells: Citrus oil, gin blossoms, slight scent of cologne, orange bitters.
Sounds: The clink of ice in the glass. The scuff of a barstool being dragged open. The murmur of low voices.
Finito.

With Love, Fernet.
Bar Americano is the perfect place for your first time. If you’ve never dipped a toe into the world of Fernet, an Italian type of amaro, let us lead the way.
Combining herbs and spices, Fernet is a spirit typically consumed as an aperitif to ease digestion. Instead of distilled, Fernet starts with a base liquor and is infused, like a tincture, with a special combination of botanicals.

Yes, Bar Americano is a pretty face. There’s no denying the charm of the building, with its big windows like eyes onto the cozy streets of Edmonds. It’s when you step inside that the bewitching begins.
