Mid-Week Check-Up
It’s the middle of the week and we have a lot to talk about!
We have a big weekend in store for you. Italian summer disco this Friday with @edmondspride! Come celebrate our community, Rowan’s birthday, and my last Friday! The fun goes all night, with @modishmarkdj starting his set at 8pm and going until late.
Saturday is my last day behind the bar, so we are going to BOOGIE DOWN. Two back to back DJs starting at 9pm. Dancing, laughing, maybe a bit of crying (happy tears). Let’s make this weekend one we will never forget.
Tonight you have Gabe behind the bar, shaking up some tasty treats. He’s here from 4-midnight, so plenty of time to get your midweek fix.

ITALIAN SUMMER DISCO IS COMING TO EDMONDS IN TWO WEEKS!!
Come boogie down with us all night long Friday, July 25th! We are teaming up with @edmondspride for a fun filled night, and $1 per drink sold will be donated directly to them!

It will also be my last Friday night at Americano, and Saturday the 26th is my official last day behind the bar.

I will be right down the street, so don’t worry. This is a bittersweet goodbye, but I’m so thankful for everyone’s support while I’ve been here. The community we’ve built is amazing and I am so excited to continue showing you all a good time, just down the road.
A lot of things to celebrate, so bring your dancing shoes and wear your best disco attire. We will be dancing until we drop…

@djmizrhi is spinning from 8pm-late, and we have @trio_truck showing up at 9pm to feed you hungry folks after burning all that energy during the boot scootin’ boogie.
SLUSHIES ARE BACK!!!! Our house slushy this summer will be the Paloma, and we will have a rotating “bartenders special” slushy every so often. I made a Fernet + coke slushy for you all to try as our rotating slushy!
AND….. We have happy hour! One hour of happiness from 4-5pm, seven days a week. Come check it out and then stay for the late night entertainment.

Meet Brian & Louise, who have brought three community favorites to Edmonds: @daphnesbaredmonds, @ilvialeedmonds and @baramericano.edmonds!
*What is your favorite part of your business?
We have the best staff around, and feel so grateful for them. We love serving the fine folks of Edmonds, and providing laid-back comfortable haunts to casually convene with friends and foes.
*Why did you start your business?
In 2006, Brian and his then 2-year old daughter Kate, took the Amtrak cross-country from New York to Edmonds. Kate was thirsty after the long trip, so they popped into the coffeeshop next to the Edmonds Theater. After Brian noticed a handwritten “for sale” sign, an exchange of phone numbers occurred and, as they say, the rest is history.
The opportunity arose in 2023 to nab our South Edmonds cafe/bar location, and we’ve now put their signature vintage stamp on this side of the downtown corridor.
*Why did you choose Edmonds for your business?
Brian grew up in Edmonds, and, although he has traversed the world, this seaside town continues to be home.
*What is unique about your business?
At 250 square feet, Daphne’s is a tiny gal, but so mighty. The bar is nestled alongside the Edmonds Theater, great for downtown people-watching and signature cocktails.
Il Viale and Bar Americano are connected through a hallway, so if you come in for a daytime espresso, you can choose to sit in the cafe, or stretch out on the bar side. We also have a hidden little room in the back with comfy chairs and a fireplace. Patio season is upon us, and dare I say ours is perfect for an espresso, glass of vino, or a shot of Fernet.

*Why should people do business with you?
There are so many fantastic businesses in Edmonds, and we feel privileged to be a part of this community. Bar Americano has rotating DJ nights and inclusive community events, all of which can be found on our Instagram. Daphne’s feels like a quick trip to France, and Il Viale brews delicious beans from our friends Camber in Bellingham.
